It was July, 1970, our honeymoon. We were on the first big adventure of our lives. Everything we encountered was new to us. Everything after that was measured by that first experience. In 1995 on our second honeymoon to Yellowstone, we celebrated our 25th anniversary at the Lake Yellowstone Hotel dining room. After our meal, while visiting the gift shop, we fell in love with a statue of Sacajawea. We purchased it. On our trip this summer we had the chance to visit the actual grave of Sacajawea at Fort Washakie, Wyoming in the Wind River Indian Reservation. That's what we did on our way home.
