Nerja, Malaga, and home again

Today was our final full day in Spain, so we checked out of our wonderful apartment, bid Jaun a fond farewell, and drove down to the Costa del Sol to Nerja.  This was a town with a sea view we had dreamed about, and we had read about paella on the beach in Nerja at a beach shack called Ayo's. www.tripadvisor.com/Restaurant_Review-g315917-d984836-Reviews-Chiri...  This was a real hoot!  The walk from Nerja to the beach was gorgeous; it was a crystal clear day--and the food was amazing!  Very very casual, and there was a lot of banter and good humor.  We had the best time just wandering the streets afterward, stopping for a drink or shopping.  I could live in Nerja easily!  See the photos below for more beauty...

From Nerja, we drove on to Malaga, our departure point.  We checked into Malaga Hotel Picasso, an unexpectedly cute and clean as a pin hotel recommended by Untours.  Close to the airport, it had all the comforts you could want, a pool, nice restaurants nearby, a bar of sorts, shady lounge areas with beautiful parrots eating from the trees--at this point we never wanted to leave!  But we did leave the next morning.  Flew through Paris and from Paris to Cincinnati, no problems or hitches.  Where I used to hate CDG airport, now I am almost to the point of knowing how to get around there...which will bode well for the planned 2017 trip back to Paris and to Normandy.

Safe travels to all of you--we would highly recommend the Andalusia Untour.  It was safe, lovely, and you could do what you want when you wanted to do it.  The people were very friendly and our lack of Spanish not a great barrier. We tried to learn the key words, and Spanish is a language I can at least read, so that helps...travel whenever you can, it is the most enlightening experience in the world...
