How do you avoid the single supplement charge?

Is anyone interested in a travel companion only to avoid the single supplement charges?

If so, please contact me.

I have already visited 12 countries. I have been assigned roommates that were matched

by a travel agent previously, and it worked out just fine. I am a 58 year old woman. I'm a robust walker!

I like to do my own thing by day, and retire early with a book. I do not snore or smoke.

I just retired and I want to travel extensively. My goal is to… Continue

GreenPrint World -- Save on Paper

Through a Nevada ink cartridge business from which I

purchase "Remanufactured" ink cartridges at a lower

cost than "brick stores" and many "online stores,"

came this bit of news from the owner, Phil.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
First a Couple of Side Comments:
My niece, Kristina said that she has been using this GreenPrint
printer at work for a year. Her comments were:
"It's actually pretty good. The program… Continue
Sushi in der Schweiz????
Yep. It is true. Stop by the local 7-11 in Sarnen (ESSO station), and they will fix you up. Sushi has been around for several years in the big cities, but now it has made it to The Heartland. I am still waiting for catfish.
Trip to the Netherlands--1994
TRIP TO THE NETHERLANDS—1994
By Everett and Jane Arnold
We flew to Amsterdam in a DC10. Fortunately we were next to the bulkhead so I had legroom. We were the last to be called to board so we had to scatter our coats and carry on luggage in two different overhead locations. A young Dutch couple sat next to us who had been to the States on business. They slept with eye coverings, neck pillows and no shoes. We gave up and watched a Whoopi Goldberg movie about ghetto kids in a… Continue
Poverty in CH
I wrote a blog on the working poor in CH some time ago. The local newspaper had another article on an adjacent topic yesterday that caught my eye.
About 9 % of the population between the ages of 20 and 59 are below the poverty level here. A single person who earns less than 24,000 CHF per year is impoverished. That same person with two children who earns less than 55,800 CHF per year is impoverished. Of that group of 9% there are half that work more than 36 hours per week.…
Dutch Untour
HOLLAND, Tuesday, August 14, 2007
It’s hard to know where to start. We had wanted to go to Holland on an Untour for many years, and we weren’t disappointed. After leaving Orlando at 5:25 p.m. we arrived at London Gatwick Airport to change planes to Amsterdam Schiphol Airport arriving at 11:40 a.m. We were met at the “Meeting Place” by our taxi driver who delivered us (after a little confusion as to the address) to our apartment at Hogewoerd 144 in Leiden. We stayed in the Jan Steen… Continue
My best Christmas ever!
The last few days have been overwhelming. My brother-in-law's ancestral home is in Calatafimi, Province of Trapani, Sicily. At Christmas 2002, he wrote down the exact address for me. The last time he was there was just after World War II. I lost the paper it was written on. Last year I asked him to write it down again. I wanted to locate it on Google Earth and present him with a aerial photo of his ancestral home. But he could no longer remember the address. For some reason,…
BRUNELLESCHI'S DOME
The landscape of Florence is dominated by the magnificent dome of the Duomo, Santa Maria del Fiore, whose foundation stone was laid in 1296 and took 140 years to construct. In those days, the economy of Florence was based on agriculture and its products and its wealth was concentrated in members of guilds, mainly those of wool, silk and goldsmiths. They were determined to build a cathedral that would be one of its kind in all the world.
I have just finished…
BAVARIAN CASTLE UNTOUR -- A PLANNING GUIDE PART I:
