A Funny thing Happened on the Way to Church

In the fall of 2003, my husband, Earl, my friend, Margaret and I went to Spain with Untours. We stayed in the big (4 bedroom/2 bath) house adjacent to Maria’s house in an olive grove outside of the town of Fuente Tójar.…

Louise!

Welcome. I find it fascinating that you like Italy best, but I think of you as one of our pre-eminent Paris photographers.

Louise,
Looks like we have a lot in common. We just returned home from Paris. Been to Italy and the Castle too. Good to see your photos.

We've only scratched an itch when it comes to visiting Italy and France. Your photos seem to be calling to us: return for a longer visit. Thank you for sharing them. My husband and you would engage, without a doubt, in an easy conversation about photos. Your compositions and subject matter seem to be reflective of the same style.

Louise,

I LOVE this story. It has the essence of what we all hope to find when we travel independantly.

Louise,

Croatia is amazing. Where did you go? I went there two years ago with my dad. It was a phenomenal trip.

Louise, thank you for your kind comments on my "video." I used a product from Microsft called Digital Image Suite 10. It's a few years old now, so I don't know what the newer product is like. If you look at my Italian ones, you'll see that like much else in the world, experience helps!

I love your photographs, Louise. Think they're some of the very best here on the Cafe. Italy is just about tops on my very favorite places lists too. We've done the Provence and Tuscany South Untours - you'll love them!

I think we really do have a lot in common! As much as we love the places we've visited, we almost never go back because we want so much to see new ones...love new adventures. Switzerland and Greece are the only places we've returned to and, even then, we went to different places each time. One place we always return to, though, is the Grandmother's walk in Switzerland...the mountains there are my husband's favorite spot on earth. Mine would have to be Tuscany; being there was like walking through the backgrounds of masterpieces of art. Those landscapes are embedded somewhere deep inside me...
