Bob W. Miller; rwm1029@chartertn.net; seems to be having some difficulty with the new Untours Cafe site, particularly in the area of accepting friends. I'm sure that he would be delighted if you could contact him, and provide some assistance.
We returned from Paris this past Sunday night (6/24). My birthday was June 21 and my husband asked me last fall where do you want to go? Paris please! It was a special birthday, my medicare birthday if you get my drift and he thought it would make it a bit easier and it did. We stayed at a hotel that we have been staying at for about 20 years. The staff is just now starting to turn over which made both of us oddly emotional because we have depended on their friendly faces and service. After a week we became very comfortable with the new repacements at the front desk and were very happy to see our old friends as well. The hotel is on the left bank the Rue de Bac metro stop and has some of the best walking streets in the city. We returned to the Orangerie after many years and WOW, Mr. Monet never looked better in his new digs. Also bought advance tickets to the Louvre and entered on the Rue de Rivoli side for a change. We were there for hours and hours and had lunch in the Grand Louvre dining room. Other than a visit to Notre Dame and a lot of other churches and walking on the Isle we got up in the morning had breakfast, either visited museums or walked and had lunch, returned for a nap and then out for dinner. We were there the week of the Paris air show and had lunch and a dinner with some of our friends that were at the air show. So much fun to see friends from our own home town so far away from home. My birthday dinner was at Taillevent, we were there with friends for New Years Eve in 2004, had dinner here the night before NYears Eve, it is a very special place, incredible polite service with attention to every detail, it is expensive but not something we do that often. We also had lunches or dinners at L'Atelier de Joel Robuchon, Guy Savoy's Les Bouquinistes, which was a new find, Bofinger and a couple of smaller bistro's. If we hadn't been walking everywhere we would have had to ask for seat belt extensions! Did not gain one pound. We had showers on and off, some thunder and lightening, and one downpour, since we live in California and have had about 3 inches of rain this year it was ok with us and we loved the the late night light, almost till 10:30. Our sun sets here about 8:30. The downside of all of this is that we had to take an airplane to get there. Huge crowds in the airports, indifferent service except for our return on US Air from Paris to Philadelphia, they did a great job, (our outbound was a nightmare). Everyone know what it is like these days so I won't go on and on. This is longer than I planned. Pat Mc
I have learned a bit about RSS, but I don't know what I need to do with my Mac to feed the blog articles to the Cafe blog. Any ideas? Thanks!
Met you last September/October at the Bavarian Castle, Sommersdorf. Hope you received the CD of photos that I sent earlier this year. I remember you were having a bit of trouble with your camera and I promised photos to you.
Just returned from Paris Untour. This new site is great!!!

Learning the site. I looks great. You have done a great job.
Wanted to try out different methods of uploading photos. I signed into Flickr and uploaded photos. I joined the Untours group but I can't seem to get my pictures added to the Untours group pixs on Flickr. Was I supposed to join the Untours group first before posting them? Help??
By the way, it is so much easier to post pictures to Untours Cafe without going to Flickr first. Any way to transfer them to Flickr from the cafe?
Thanks, Marlene
