Tell us about one of your favorite places to stay on an Untour. Do you have a favorite host? Apartment? Village?
The windows of the Garibaldi apartment look out onto the widest 'street' in Venice, Via Garibaldi. It is where the Venetians live, work and play and is great fun to watch life go by on the street below.
When you upload photos to Untours Cafe, you are also giving Untours permission to use the photos in their promotional material (with credit to you)
The look on my son's face when our waiter in Venice told him he could not have cheese to sprinkle on his seafood pasta dish - by order of the chef.
Which Untours have you already done?
Italy, Provence, Swiss Ticino
What advice would you give others considering an Untour?
Prepare for your trip by walking...lots...and up hills! Other than reading your guidebooks, it's the most important thing you can do to ensure you enjoy your trip.
Thanks for asking me to be your friend, Sue. I noted you
joined the Cafe and had planned to ask you first, but you
beat me to it! And we have Andrea, too - now all we need
is Andi, so work on her. We Tuscanites must stick
together (is that a word?). I keep in contact with Harriet
and mentioned the Cafe to her in September, but she
would be just inundated by all her friends so guess we
should just keep her to ourselves! Happy Thanksgiving.
Greetings from sunny California! Muir Woods, Sausalito, Twin Peaks and lots of good Italian food in North Beach! Having a blast. Will see you all in the office next week. Happy Thanksgiving!
Sue,
Thank you so much for your response. We are sooo excited and look forward to our trip. Any information you would like to share would be appreciated. I have bought a number of books on ebay about provence and will decide what our plans will be. Did you have any MUSt sees, Dont see, secret finds, etc. I also have ordered a number of French language courses on CD, and our library offers Rosetta stone, so I hope to be understood and understand what I hear. I hope with6 months I will be successful. do you have pictures?
Sue,
I just added a new destination for Bavaria. Come join the group. If you have any questions, you can ask there and we can share answers with others.
To join click on the "Destinations" tab at the top of the page; then click on "Bavaria"; then click on 'Join the Group".
