Tell us about one of your favorite places to stay on an Untour. Do you have a favorite host? Apartment? Village?: We loved Hilterfingen for its access to the beautiful walkalong the shores of Lake Thun, for its access to the fascinating village of Thun, for the boat, bus and train trips easily available, for the wonderful hiking opprrtunities, and for the breathtaking beauty of the Oberland.

Do you have any special interests or hobbies that you follow when you travel?: Our special interest is in the people of the country and how they live, think, and act. I suppose you could sum it up as an interest in the culture of the area.

When you upload photos to Untours Cafe, you are also giving Untours permission to use the photos in their promotional material (with credit to you): I was trying to ask a Swiss jeweler in the little German I thought I knew to try to dry out a watch that had been thoroughly drenched in a storm, and I asked him to "grape" the watch. He acquiesed , as a true gentleman, without cracking a smile. I handed him the watch, and in trying to find out when he closed mistakenly asked when he went to sleep.

Which Untours have you already done?: Heartland, Oberland, Ticino,Holland, Provence, Prague, Budapest, and Vienna, Tuscany South

What advice would you give others considering an Untour?: Go! You can't go wrong with Untours.

What is your favorite Untour? (so far): The Oberland in Switzerland, with Holland running a close 2nd

Welcome to the Cafe.....most of you don't know that Fay is an AMAZING writer. We are working hard to move over her tripblogs from the past to the cafe (and everybody else's too.) That's a big job, but we hope that perhaps Fay can write regularly about what travels she has done lately......(hint, hint!)
