Trip Blog for Alsace and Paris -- text by Michael and photos by Susan O'Brien
At 1:00 p.m. we’re sitting in Charles De Gaulle Airport, outside of Paris. Our connecting flight to Strasbourg has been delayed by fog. Hopefully we will be able to board in half an hour or so.
We’ve found that trying to traverse this airport is like trying to get through a giant maze. We took a tram, at which we arrived after a hurried, ten-minute walk, but after disembarking from the tram as…

I think you will be my new best friend. (smile!) I just read that you have stayed in Kuchl Austria. Frank and I are in the process of setting up our next trip and we think it will be there. I will need to pick your brain a lot in the next months.
On the other hand, I just posted a blog called "Untouring Tuscany South-a planning guide" that might be of help to you. Also I have photos in albums (Tuscany and Rome) that you might like to look at. You can access them from my page.
Hope to be talking with you again.

Tuscany is one of my all time favorite places in the world. We were there about five years ago - before a digital camera entered our lives - so no blogs!! Marlene's newest blog on that area is wonderful. We stayed at Fattoria de Barbi near Montalcino and loved it there.Don't think Idyll has that one anymore. Sometimes when we were driving on the uncrowded, winding, hilly roads, it seemed as though we were driving through medieval masterpieces. The landscape and lighting is just incredibly beautiful as are all the hilltop towns. We loved Pienza and Montepulciano - can't think of any we really didn't like!
Our next Untour is to Prague and Budapest mid-June. Looking forward to seeing those beautiful cities. Our very first Untour was to Kuchl in Austria and it was so perfect we've gone on to do 8 more of these addictive Untours.
