Monday 22nd

I have been warring with the internet, first in Florence and now here in Murlo.  If I can get the equivilant of one bar I consider myself lucky. Pictures need much more to load. They will be few and far between I fear.

Last Wednesday we picked up the car and headed for Murlo.  Since it had been about 15 years since I drove a stick, I didn't let myself panic when I bucked around at first.  As long as no one is surprising me I'm fine, better every day. Didn't have much trouble finding our way...took a couple of wrong turns, just went back and readjusted our bearings.  Had to have lunch at a gas station bar as we had trouble finding any restaurant in any of the places we turned off. The apt is very nice...did forget how steep the hill is between the parking lot and the village. We are in the taller house with our landlady, English, and her Italian husband living to the left.  My bedroom is the window on the top floor with Margaret in the room in the back overlooking the valley.
